The New Kiwi Club Kids: Comic #2

I don't like the way it looks only because it took way too much time to make it and it's never easy to edit something you've looked at for too long.  This comic's been sitting idle on my compy for months... and collecting cobwebs in my brain meats for years before that... ever since I went to a corn-themed festival in my wife's (at that time girlfriend's) home town.  Finally I got the chance to put it to "paper".  Perhaps I'll rework a few details on it a while down the road, but not until I've gotten a chance let it fester outside of my perception for a while.

The characters underwent a drastic redesign recently, which I found fun for sure.  I thought I'd tinker with one more BIG comic before considering a few 3 or 4 panel comics.

One of my favorite things to do is create fake products and put in a lot of background detail.  Maybe this is too busy, but I'm not trying to win any awards here... and I had fun drawing buttered up bunny children on a slip n' slide (in a non-pervy way, mind you), creating "Virtual Phlebotomist 8: Super Simulator Special Ultimate World Edition XVII"... and "Smooth & Creamy Creamed Corn in a Cup!"  Sometimes the jokes are so small that they're hard to read, but meh... 

By the way, does anyone else analyze things like Bubby?  I mean, he's inspired a lot by my rambling thoughts about conspiracy... like the fact that my own home town's annual festival is about the only time officials will grit their teeth and pay for the roads to be fixed... of course, only the roads specifically viewed by visitors.  I mean, they've moved the jogging and parade routes around a few times to avoid having to repair some pretty crappy roads.  I guess... in a round about way... this is part of my inspiration.  I mean... I'm not saying there is misappropriation in my home town... but I'm not NOT saying it either, if you follow me.  There are FAR more things (less innocent) that I've been noticing 'round these parts lately.  They happen everywhere, mind you, and no one is safe from greedy grubby people in government... >_>  ... sssshhhhhhhhh... the walls (and web) have ears...
